Working around a subject which seems to be strongly rooted in our customs and social reality. Someone said that the ideas of the french revolution: liberty, equality and fraternity materialised only through their evil cousins: determinism, inequality and nepotism. We find patterns reflected in toothless-old-man's evil grin and his mocking laughter, hiding somewhere in a dark alley. Maybe around the corner, if not only just here.

Anna Maria Łuczak (1984, Łódź, Poland)

(Maciej Łuczak's sister)

Studied in Willem de Kooning Academy (2005-09) and Piet Zwart Institute (2011-09). Works and lives in Rotterdam.

Her films and sculptures embody the struggle of the emotional in understanding historical events. Meaning and form are constantly interchanged. As visual motifs she often works with archive video material and film, balancing on boarders between sculpture, literature, video and photography. Meaning is something fragmented which comes into being while the viewer moves through space.
Olivia Dunbar (1988, Vancouver, Canada)

Poetics of Olivia Dunbar, seemingly embeded in contemporary popculture, has rich references
to philosophy. In her dravongs, sculptures, video works, she is picturing everyday palpitations, showing the deepnes of superficial and the tragedy of nulity.
